Why Plant-Based?

The Standard American Diet, or SAD, means in North America the majority of us eat 63% refined and processed foods. That means empty calories with NO nutritional benefit!  

It’s estimated that as much as 80% of all healthcare dollars are spent on the treatment of conditions that are preventable! 

What Is a Whole-Foods, Plant-Based Diet? 

  • Focuses on plants, including vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, seeds and nuts, which should make up the majority of what you eat.
  • Excludes refined foods, added sugars, white flour, and processed oils
  • Limits or avoids animal products
